Fiance/ Bridal Makeup Artist from Wollongong

Another makeup blog... Do we really want or need another one?

I am a makeup artist. I am engaged and trying to sift through 6000+ pages of blogs and websites about the perfect bride and the perfect wedding. Its really all the same stuff under different names, on one side they encourage DIY and the other one says everything is too stressful and to off hand the lot of it. So confusing! So I'm putting my thoughts into a blog.

My plan is this.
Do one thing a month to help plan and create the perfect Wedding, while also trying to build my own makeup business up from the ground.

Time frame:
16 Months

So Far:
For my wedding I have a venue, a dress and bridesmaids dresses.

As a Makeup Artist, this is what I have done so far:
I studied makeup for a year in 2008.
Worked for Napoleon
Worked For MAC

And now I'm trying to go it alone.

But I have done a few cool things since I started. I worked at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Australia's Next Top Model, The Voice, For We are Handsome, Colette Dinigan, Ralph Lauren and a few other bits and pieces along the way.

Right now I'm trying to branch out. Try new things, new techniques, new makeup and establish myself a little more so that after I can get married I dont have to work full time. I can enjoy life and work one or two days a week doing what I love! I love makeup so much and I love love!

Thats what I love and so its what I do. Wedding Makeup.

So for the next sixteen months I am going to tell you about my trials and errors, and hopefully some sort of progress along the way.
